My Rating: ★★★

**Warning: This book is a wild, sexy beast of a read. 18+**

Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I fuck with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests.

Savage man, loner, warrior… I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation.

Now I’ve been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.

Dr. Moira Reed is an anthropologist who has been hired to help me transition back into modern society. It’s her job to smooth away my rough edges… to teach me how to navigate properly through this new life of mine. She wants to tame me.

She’ll never win.

I am wild, free and raw, and the only thing I want from the beautiful Moira Reed is to fuck her into submission.

She wants it, I am certain.

I will give it to her soon.

Yes, very soon, I will become the teacher and she will become my student. And when I am finished showing her body pleasure like no other, she’ll know what it feels like to be claimed by an uncivilized man.

My Review

You know what I’ve realized after reading this book? I’m a smut slut.

A total, brazen, hoe, who gets off on smut where the man is all Tarzan-like and dominant and from deep in the Amazon.

Honorable ladies and other hoes, Uncivilized is exactly that. Uncivilized. It’s shameless, raw, schmexin’ and surprisingly, a whole new concept.

Zacharias (Zach) Easton was left alone in the Amazonian forest when he was seven, when his parents died of a dengue fever. Zach was then adopted by the Caraican tribe and raised as their own.

Eighteen years later, Dr. Moira Reed, an anthropologist seeks Zach out to take him back to his real home. Will Zach easily acquiesce or is Moira in for a hell of a time?

“Tell me all about the first time you saw me. Tell me a story, sweet Moira, and then I’ll decide whether to give you what you want.”

From the moment Zack and Moira lock eyes with each other—and you should know that this happens while Zach is HAVING SEX with another woman—there’s an undeniable pull. And while Zach understandably hates her for trying to take him away from his own home, even he can’t deny that there’s something there. Thankfully, the man knows English—having stuck to his roots thanks to a priest—and is able to converse with Moira.

While Zach eventually agrees to come back to the States with Moira, he is more or less adept at adapting with the modern civilization, which struck me as kind of odd. It seemed like his blending in with the modern world was a bit too easy.

Uncivilized struck me to be the modern day, NC-17, Tarzan. The descriptions were another thing I loved in this book.

The descriptions of the schmexin’, I mean.

Holy shit, that’s some hot stuff there. There’s a LOT of sex in each chapter, which leads me to ask you this: Can humans really go on for that long? Really?

Coz in that case, I’m finding me a human to go on with for that long too!

“It’s insane, crazy, wild, and uninhibited fucking. It’s spectacular, and I can’t hold back anymore.”

As for the rating, here’s the thing: I loved the hotness this book bought to me. It was all kinds of a turn-on and jeez, if Zach isn’t hawt, I don’t know what is. But I was expecting a bit more of a struggle for Zach to assimilate in a completely new environment. Sure, Miss Bennett has hinted on his complete cluelessness about certain social ethics, but…you know, I’d expected more.

The struggle that Zach faces, between returning home to the forests and discovering this new found world that he’s started to like, now that was amazing. The last two chapters of this book were absolute perfection in their push and pull and the complete angst that both Zach and Moira go through. And this brings me to another thing about the book that I’d like to talk about.

I love dual POVs when they’re well-done and non-repetitive. And Miss Bennett had that pat down. It worked absolutely perfectly in this book. I got a fair view of what both the characters were feeling, while also knowing why they were feeling that way.

This book, while a new concept, is also—for me—a new kind of writing. I liked the book and I’d suggest it to people looking for smut.

Because I’m a smut hoe.

And I recommend smut.

“Oh baby…I’m going to teach you how good it’s going to feel to be fucked into submission by an uncivilized man.”

About the Author

Best-Selling author, Sawyer Bennett, is a snarky southern woman and reformed trial lawyer who decided to finally start putting on paper all of the stories that were floating in her head. She is married to a mobster (well, a market researcher) and they have two big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Sawyer would like to report she doesn’t have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.
