Top 10 of 2014 Week: Day 3

The Top Ten of 2014 event is hosted by Jaime from Two Chicks on Books, Rachel fromReading YA Rocks, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads!

That’s right! Day 3, people! We’re halfway into this thing and today, we’re talking about any blogger’s choice best of 2014. This year was a good, good year for swoony boys and badass girls and sometimes, these boys and girls together! So obviously, I had to choose:

BEST COUPLES OF 2014

❤ David and Thea ❤ from Rock Courtship

  Goodreads | Review

David’s quiet, persistent love  for Thea was almost painful to watch, but I love Thea for trying to move past her old hurt and giving him a chance. And when they were finally together…it was beautiful.

❤ Chloe and Max ❤ from Indiscretion

Goodreads | Review

I think my favorite thing about Chloe and Max is their transformation from non-friends to lovers. Everything in their relationship was done backwards and yet, something about them and the way they were with each other, especially in the face of trouble was heart warming.

❤ Alex and Sutton ❤ from Alex

Goodreads | Review

You want to talk opposites? Talk Alex and Sutton. Alex is rude, obnoxious and crass. Sutton is determined and strong and sweet. Both are in love.

❤ Dylan and Reese ❤ from the Sweet Addiction Series

Goodreads | Review

Love is never more sweeter or spicier when it’s between a pretty baker and a panty-stealing accountant. Add dirty talking to that and you have the hottest-sweetest romance of the year…literally!

❤ Bran and Talia ❤ from the Off The Map series

Goodreads | Review

I’ve never made a secret of how much I love these two. They’re messed up inside but who isn’t? They’re perfect for each other in every way that counts and that’s all that matters to me.

❤ Olivia and Paul ❤ from Broken

Goodreads | Review

Somehow these two have captured me in a way no other couple has. Both have scars and problems and attraction. But they also have love. And for them, it’s enough.

❤ Duke and Nicole ❤ from Thrash

Goodreads | Review

Yes, they’re hard headed. They have filthy language. He’s as stubborn as a mule and she’s as proud as Punch. But they put everything aside for their love and they come out victorious. Also, they have really hot sex.

❤ Tenley and Hayden ❤ from the Clipped Wings series

Goodreads | Review

So what if you think you’ve lost everything? When you find that your forever love and your true love and your first love are all wrapped into one person then really, you’ve found much, much more than you’ve lost.

❤ Marco and Hannah ❤ from Fall From India Place

Goodreads | Review

An example of a couple that preferred to talk about their problems–past and present–rather than let another chance at being together run away from them. Hannah and Marco were so, so good together…and the epilogue of this book? PERFECTION.

❤ Ridley and Link ❤ from Dangerous Creatures

Goodreads

There’s nothing that is ordinary about Ridley and Link. He’s a struggling musician, she’s Dark. And yet, she’ll do anything o keep him alive and he’ll always, always put up with her shit. You think it’s easy? Try dating a Siren.

I love all these couples! Tell me all about your yummy twos, this year 🙂

This and Villans looks like they are the most popular topics! I’m not sure I’d be able to narrow down best couples. This topic would be really hard for me. Sadly I haven’t read any of these books. If it’s contemporary it has to be highly recommended by a friend.

So many awesome couples. Great list! I love David and Thea. They almost made it to my top ten but I love them so much I included them in my Honorable Mentions 🙂 David’s devotion was totally swoon-worthy. I really enjoyed reading Alex and Sutton. And yes to Olivia and Paul. These two, especially Paul, just about broke my heart. Thanks for sharing.
